Dan Bongino featured a livestream interview with Donald Trump on Rumble last week. Trump’s exit at the conclusion of the discussion led to claims on social media that the nationally syndicated radio host strongly pushed back against.
Trump answered questions from The Dan Bongino Show host for more than an hour. However, Trump concluded the conversation saying “Hey Dan, off the record, I gotta get going. They’re going crazy,” the Republican nominee said.
Kamala HQ, a social media account that aims to “provide context” to the 2024 presidential race while supporting Trump’s opponent Kamala Harris, clipped the interaction and claimed the former President “abruptly” ended the interview because he was “exhausted.”
That accusation led to strong words from Bongino.
“He stayed LONGER than planned and signed a baseball and other items for charitable hurricane relief for another 10 mins afterwards,” Bongino wrote in response. “You can shove this absolute (expletive) right up your (expletive). Lying pieces of (expletive).”
Producers for Bongino, including Jim Verdi and Evita Duffy-Alfonso, both backed up the radio host.
Dan Bongnio added that the argument that Trump was exhausted was simply incorrect from his point of view.
“He … stayed past the scheduled wrap time of the interview and signed hats and other items for my team and for charitable donations. He then offered to take pictures with the production crew and the support staff,” Bongino continued. “Yes, I’m a Trump supporter, that’s not a secret, but I’m telling you with a candid and pure heart that President Trump couldn’t have been more energetic and gracious. I’m decades younger and I’m not that gracious or energetic.”
The interview between Bongino and Donald Trump was the highest livestream in the United States on Friday. More than 300,000 people watched the conversation on Rumble according to digital reports.
