Longtime NBC News correspondent and MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell is slated to receive the Gracies Icon Award at the upcoming Gracies Leadership Awards.
The Alliance for Women in Media will honor the NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, Chief Washington Correspondent, and Andrea Mitchell Reports host at the Gracies Leadership Awards on Tuesday, November 19 at Tribeca 360 in New York.
Mitchell has been with NBC News since July 1978. She has been its chief foreign affairs correspondent since November 1994. Previously, she served as chief White House correspondent and chief Congressional correspondent between 1988 and 1994. She has hosted her MSNBC program since 2008.
She will join a distinguished lineup of honorees, including Sylvia Bugg, Sonia Coleman, Jennifer Leimgruber, Deborah Parenti, Jen Sargent, Holly Tang, and Sylvia Strobel, the AWM Legacy Leadership Award recipient.
