Fox News featured its second-best October during an election year in network history as it featured the top five finishers in the cable news ratings.
During the month, the network averaged 1.6 million viewers in the total day ratings. In primetime, that figure jumped to 2.8 million.
The Five — led by Greg Gutfeld, Jeanine Pirro, Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, and Jessica Tarlov, among others — regained the top spot in the cable news ratings during the month. The program featured an average audience of 3.6 million viewers.
Jesse Watters Primetime was second with 3.5 million. The primetime show hosted by Sean Hannity (3 million) was third, while Greg Gutfeld’s late-night show (2.9 million), and Special Report with Bret Baier (2.9 million) finished fifth.
The Ingraham Angle, hosted by Laura Ingraham, just missed out on the top five, but won the 7 PM ET hour in the cable news ratings with an average audience of 2.8 million.
Of the top 100 rated cable news broadcasts during the month, 94 were from Fox News.
