To enhance its broadcast portfolio, Main Street Media LLC has completed the acquisition of six radio stations in Crossville, Tennessee, from PEG Broadcasting LLC.
The transaction includes WPBX-FM (99.3), WOWF-FM (105.3), talk WAEW-AM (1330), and Sports WCSV-AM (1490), along with two translators.
PEG Broadcasting, under the leadership of Dawn and Reed Shaw, decided to sell its radio stations as part of a strategic move away from the broadcasting industry.
Following this sale, the company will have no remaining interests in broadcasting, marking a significant shift in PEG’s operations and closing the chapter on its involvement in the radio broadcasting sector.
Main Street Media, led by Chad Graves and Scot MacDonald, is expanding its presence in the Tennessee radio market through the recent acquisition. The company currently operates several radio stations in McMinnville, Morrison, Sparta, and Spencer, indicating a strong growth trend in regional broadcasting.
