Early returns for the NFL’s Wild Card Weekend are coming in and NBC has some big numbers for its game. The company announced today that 29 million viewers tuned in to see Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders’ thrilling last-minute victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Combined with last week’s Week 18 showdown between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, this marks the first time NBC has topped 28.5 million viewers in consecutive weeks since the 2012 London Olympics.
NBC will have its final NFL game broadcast of the season coming up on Sunday when the Los Angeles Rams travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The game is set to kickoff at 3 p.m. ET with Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark on the call.
Philadelphia is 8-1 at home on the season and are currently a six point favorite in the game.
Moving forward, the NFC Championship game will be aired on FOX with the AFC Championship airing on CBS. FOX will have coverage of the Super Bowl this season, which will feature Tom Brady in the booth along with Kevin Burkhardt.
