Former Country 106.5 WYRK Buffalo morning co-host Kadie Daye is joining AC Z107 Lowell, IN, for mornings. She will also hold down the evening shift at Indiana 105 Valparaiso.
It’s a return home for Daye, who grew up in Indiana and previously hosted nights in South Bend at Top 40 U93. Daye also served as Student Manager at Goshen College’s AAA station, “91.1 The Globe,” in Goshen, Indiana.
Daye exited 106.5 WYRK in November of last year as part of Townsquare cutbacks. (BMM 11/6)
She told Barrett Media, “I’m really excited to work for Adams Radio Group in Northwest Indiana. I’m looking forward to learning everything I can from the legends who work here, and I grew up listening to. They are so present in the Northwest Indiana community, something I saw firsthand growing up because I am a region rat.. born & raised in the 219.”
Adding, “There are radio hosts in this building that I used to listen to all the time and search for at the Porter County Fair. And now, I get to say I work with them. It’s a really cool moment that I vividly remember dreaming about when I would listen to Indiana 105 and Z107 as a kid. I used to look for the jocks at their events, and now present day, I get to say I’m part of the legacy? That’s so cool. I hope I make my hometown proud.”
