TNT Sports has signed Grant Hill to a long-term extension that will enable him to continue serving as the lead game analyst for coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, the company announced on Thursday. Hill, who has been a member of the sports division since 2013, was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and has won the NCAA Basketball Championship two times throughout his career while playing at Duke University. In addition to his work surrounding the tournament, Hill will augment his coverage of basketball within the Big East Conference and Big 12 Conference beginning in the 2025-26 season.
“College basketball has had such a profound impact on my life, as a student athlete and now as a broadcaster, and I thoroughly enjoy being closely connected to the collegiate game, the student athletes who compete, and their amazing stories,” Hill said in a statement. “I’m thankful to TNT Sports for the opportunity to continue this journey together and look forward to what promises to be a fantastic Final Four weekend, among many more to come.”
Hill was a seven-time NBA All-Star selection throughout his 19-year career in the league, during which he played for the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers. Moreover, he was a member of the USA Basketball Olympic team that secured a gold medal in 1996 and has served as the managing director of the national team since 2021. Hill is also a part owner of the Atlanta Hawks, Baltimore Orioles, Orlando Pride and Orlando City SC in addition to his ventures within the sports media business.
“A Hall of Famer in every sense, Grant has had a profound influence on the game at every level,” Nate Smeltz, senior vice president of talent relations and global communications at TNT Sports, said in a statement. “Grant has been a member of the TNT Sports family from the moment he decided to enter broadcasting, and we look forward to many more years together.”
