Cumulus Topeka Operations Manager Amber Lee has announced she’s departed the company after nearly 12 years.
Lee served as the Operations Manager for the six Cumulus stations in the market since joining the company in January 2014. During her tenure, she oversaw V100, 99.3 The Eagle, 102.9 Cat Country, AM 1440 KMAJ and AM 1490 KTOP, in addition to Majic 107.7, where she also served as Program Director.
Additionally, Lee worked as the Program Director of 107.3 The Vibe in Kansas City.
In a post on social media, Lee shared the news that her position had been eliminated with the organization.
“I’m out like a bad song in rotation,” Lee wrote. “After 11 years and 11 months, my position with Cumulus was eliminated last week … Reaching almost 12 years with a single employer is a remarkable feat in media. The state of radio today can be hard to love!”
Prior stops for Lee include working in Boise, Joplin, and the Twin Cities, among others.
