YouTube TV to Create Sports-Backed Bundle

"TV should be easy, giving viewers greater control over what they want to watch."

Sports fans just want to be able to watch their favorite teams play. YouTube TV is hoping to tackle that problem by creating a sports-focused bundle.

Beginning next year, the company is launching a skinny bundle with sports fans in mind. Included in the offering will be broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. It will also feature cable networks like ESPN, TNT, TBS, truTV, FS1, and NBCSN.

The subscription — called the YouTube TV Sports Plan — will also include access to the ESPN Unlimited platform, the recently launched full-scale direct-to-consumer offering.

No price point has been unveiled for the service. Currently, the entire YouTube TV package costs $82.99 per month.

“TV should be easy, giving viewers greater control over what they want to watch,” YouTube said in the statement releasing the news. “Our goal is to let you tailor your subscription with more options. Whether you stick with our main YouTube TV plan with 100+ channels, focus on sports, combine sports and news, or select a plan centered on family and entertainment content, subscribers will be able to easily choose the plan that works best for them.”

Subscribers of the new sports-focused bundle will also be able to add on the NFL Sunday Ticket and RedZone packages for an additional cost at the same rate full subscribers pay.

The sports package is one of just several new skinny bundles YouTube TV hopes to unveil in early 2026.
