ABC News Sets Coverage Plans for State of the Union Address

ABC News has announced its plans for coverage of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday evening.

World News Tonight anchor David Muir will lead the network’s coverage from the nation’s capital beginning at 9 PM ET. Joining him are anchor Linsey Davis, chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce, chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz, chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl, chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas, senior political correspondent Rachel Scott, and correspondent Jay O’Brien.

Additionally, contributors Donna Brazile and Chris Christie will appear on the network’s coverage on Tuesday. Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy will also provide analysis on both ABC and the ABC News Live streaming platform.

The network will also feature coverage of the Democratic response from Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA).

The ABC News Live streaming platform will begin coverage at 7 PM ET with a special edition of Prime with Linsey Davis. Kyra Phillips will anchor a pre-speech program at 8 PM ET, with Davis anchoring the post-speech coverage at 11 PM ET.

Furthermore, ABC News Radio coverage will be anchored by national correspondent Steven Portnoy. He’ll be joined by White House correspondent Karen Travers and other contributors and experts for analysis. The network’s daily podcast — Start Here — will feature a special edition of the program on Wednesday, February 25th, reacting to President Trump’s speech.
