Saga Communications Names John Hakim GM in Charleston

Saga Communications has named John Hakim its new General Manager in Charleston, promoting him after five years with the company. Hakim previously served as the organization’s Director of Sales in the market.

What We Know: Hakim joined Saga Communications after working for Cox Media Group in Jacksonville. During his five years in Charleston, he has overseen sales efforts and developed relationships with clients and colleagues. Now, he’ll take over leadership of Charleston Media Solutions. Hakim replaces Paul O’Malley, who is leaving the General Manager position to become Saga’s Senior Vice President of Revenue Development. The company said the leadership transition will allow Hakim to build on the operation’s existing momentum.
