LAZER 103.3 Tabs Ryan Gibbons for Morning Drive

“I’m thrilled beyond words to join the legendary crew at LAZER 103.3."

Date:

Ryan Gibbons will take over morning drive at LAZER 103.3 in Des Moines, beginning Monday, October 26th. The move brings the Seattle-based radio host to Iowa while prompting two additional programming changes.

What We Know: Gibbons most recently served as co-host and executive producer of KZOK Mornings on 102.5 KZOK in Seattle. Previously, he produced Danny Bonaduce’s morning show and worked on the Riggs & Alley morning show at 103.7 KISS-FM in Milwaukee. Meanwhile, Wes Styles will move into middays from 10 AM to 2 PM. Ethan Jackson will take over afternoon drive from 2-6 PM, completing a timeslot swap between the two hosts.

What They Said: “I’m thrilled beyond words to join the legendary crew at LAZER 103.3. Huge thanks to OM, Leigh McNabb, PD, Styles, and GM, Amber Battani for believing in me and giving me this phenomenal opportunity. Let’s make some noise, LAZER Hellraisers!” -Ryan Gibbons

“We’re excited to have Gibbons join the LAZER team, bringing his amazing level of energy and sense of humor to Des Moines. He’s already hitting the streets, meeting the Hellraisers, and invading the jumbotron at the Iowa Wild with one of the greatest air guitar solos in history.” -Wes Styles

What Remains Unclear: The station hasn’t announced whether the programming changes will include additional adjustments to its weekday lineup. Details about Gibbons’ plans for his new morning show also haven’t been disclosed.

What It Means: Gibbons brings experience from multiple major-market morning shows to LAZER 103.3. His arrival also gives the Des Moines station a new morning voice while Styles and Jackson exchange daytime shifts. The changes take effect October 26th, establishing a new weekday schedule for the station.
