After the bombshell announcement that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson would be bringing his program to Twitter, Elon Musk is asking another former cable news host to consider doing the same.
In a tweet early Wednesday morning, the Twitter owner asked former CNN host Don Lemon if he had pondered hosting a show on the platform like Carlson.
“Have you considered doing your show on this platform? Maybe worth a try. Audience is much bigger,” wrote the billionaire.
Lemon has been silent on Twitter since his April ouster from CNN, which occurred on the same day as Carlson’s Fox News exit.
In his first public comments after his firing, Lemon told TV tabloid show Extra “I live my life with no regrets and whatever I did, I did, I owned. I don’t look back and don’t want to change things in the past…Onward.”
After Carlson’s announcement Tuesday, Musk quickly took to his social media platform to make clear he has no deal in place with the former Fox News host. He added that Carlson will be the subject of the same rules and guidelines as any other creator on Twitter.
