WFAN Adds Jomboy Media Programming to Weekend Lineup

"WFAN and Jomboy Media both are committed to bringing Yankees fans the most relevant and engaging content of their favorite team whenever and wherever they want to consume it"

Date:

WFAN is adding a new dimension to its programming by teaming with digital sports media company Jomboy Media for a weekly show built around Yankees coverage. This marks the first time the creator-led brand will have its content broadcast on radio.

The partnership will bring Jomboy Media’s most popular material to WFAN’s airwaves beginning September 13 at 2 p.m. The hourlong program will feature highlights from the network’s flagship podcast Talkin’ Yanks. Including the show’s well-known awards segment, as well as clips from across Jomboy Media’s slate of baseball-driven content. While the focus will lean heavily on the Yankees, WFAN said the show will incorporate broader league storylines. With plans to expand into other sports coverage in the future.

WFAN, the most-listened-to sports station in the country and the flagship home of the Yankees, is positioning the move as a strategic partnership that combines legacy broadcast strength with digital-first creativity.

“WFAN and Jomboy Media both are committed to bringing Yankees fans the most relevant and engaging content of their favorite team whenever and wherever they want to consume it,” Chris Oliviero, Audacy’s Chief Business Officer and New York Market President, said in a statement. “Together, the combined influence and reach of both brands will elevate the experience for the pinstripe faithful. Shining an even greater spotlight on New York’s all-time pastime, baseball.”

The collaboration comes as media companies search for ways to extend reach and deepen audience engagement across platforms. Jomboy Media has built its reputation by creating conversational, personality-driven baseball content. The content lives on YouTube, podcasts, and social media, resonating particularly with younger fans who consume sports in clips and highlights rather than traditional long-form broadcasts.

For Jomboy Media, the agreement represents an entry point into a legacy medium that still commands significant influence in New York and beyond.

“WFAN is one of the most influential platforms in sports media, and partnering with them is a meaningful step in Jomboy Media’s growth,” CEO Courtney Hirsch said. “This collaboration lets us remain true to our roots while connecting with new audiences who are just as passionate about sports as we are.”

The creator-led content company Jomboy Media came to an agreement with Major League Baseball earlier this year. The agreement allowed the league to acquire a minority stake in the baseball-centered digital media brand. The partnership allows Jomboy Media and MLB collaborate on content activations around annual events in the baseball calendar. Such as the MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

Jomboy Media also signed a major distribution deal in August. This time joining forces with Tubi to bring its most popular sports programming to the free ad-supported streaming platform.

Founded by Jimmy O’Brien and Jake Storiale, Jomboy Media has become one of the most influential creator-led sports brands in digital media. With a focus on the sport of baseball.
