XTRA 1360 Fox Sports San Diego has announced a couple of changes to its programming lineup aimed at helping the brand make an even stronger impact on the local level. First, mornings will be turned over to the team of “Hardwick & Richards” which features former Charger Nick Hardwick and XTRA 1360 personality Judson Richards. Former morning show “Dave and Jeff” are no longer with the radio station.
“The opportunity to team with a talent like Judson is incredibly exhilarating,” said Hardwick. “Judson and I will have a show unlike any other here in San Diego. You’ll be listening with a smile plastered on your face.”
In middays, XTRA 1360 are strengthening their local offerings with the addition of “The Mark & Rich Show,” featuring veteran radio and TV personality, Mark Willard, along with former NFL Lineman, Rich Ohrnberger. Willard, who hosts on the Fox Sports Radio Network, began his radio career in San Diego with the original XTRA 690, and most recently worked for ESPN LA 710 in Los Angeles. Ohrnberger, who will also contribute to the pregame show on the Chargers radio network, spent two seasons with the team after being drafted by the New England Patriots. Jay Mohr’s program will be moved later in the evening.
“I’m excited to return to San Diego and create something new with such an incredibly talented and determined group,” said Willard. “Rich is going to be a star in this format.”
In a move that will keep XTRA 1360 live throughout the entire day, “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, which is simulcast on FS1, gains an additional hour and now will air weekdays from 9 a.m. to Noon on the radio station. “The Herd” previously aired on XTRA 1360 from 10a-12p.
As a result of the programming changes, “The Loose Cannons,” with hosts Steve Hartman and Mike Costa will shift to a new time slot, weekdays from 3p-6p. They previously hosted their program from 2p-6p, and in July, celebrated their second anniversary back on air on XTRA 1360 Fox Sports San Diego.
“We are thrilled to add Mark to the lineup, an extremely talented host with a diverse skillset,” said iHeartMedia San Diego Market President, Melissa Forrest on the all-new lineup. “We are also extremely excited to provide our listeners unparalleled access to Chargers and NFL coverage with the additions of Nick Hardwick and Rich Ohrnberger.”
Program Director Brian Long added, “The caliber of local talent additions to XTRA 1360 speaks volumes to the station’s commitment to deliver first-rate sports talk in San Diego.”
