Three employees at 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia have been suspended for their roles in a fake caller scandal. The story which was first reported by CrossingBroad.com became a national topic when media outlets discovered that a white producer had been calling into the radio station for the past two years as a black man named Dwayne from Swedesboro.

Executives at the newly owned Beasley Broadcasting radio station have suspended producer Pat Egan (the creator of the character Dwayne from Swedesboro), Mike Missanelli’s on-air partner Jason Myrtetus and The Fanatic’s Program Director Matt Nahigian for three days starting Friday. All three will be eligible to return to the station next Wednesday.

According to local reports, Nahigian was scheduled to meet with Black Lives Matter Pennsylvania organizer Asa Khalif tomorrow. Whether that meeting will take place still is unclear.
