Nationally syndicated morning show host Elvis Duran will be the emcee for the Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which take place virtually on October 29.
“Elvis Duran is one of the most popular radio hosts in the country, and I’m delighted that he will lead us through an exciting live broadcast across multiple audio channels,” said Kraig Kitchin, chair of the Radio Hall of Fame.
“Elvis’s humor and energy will make for a very upbeat program,” added Dennis Green, chair of the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee and chief revenue officer for Sun & Fun Media and Key Networks. “This year marks radio’s 100th anniversary, making it the perfect year for presenting the Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on live radio.”
The ceremony will stream across the iHeartRadio app, and will simulcast on SiriusXM Triumph and on other radio stations across the country from 7-9 p.m. on the 29th. Among the inductees into the Hall of Fame this year are Cookie Roberts, Sway Calloway, Glenn Beck and the cast of The Breakfast Club (Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy).
The Radio Hall of Fame also announced its lineup of presenters who will introduce the inductees. Among them are Smokey Robinson, Ray J and Donny Osmond.
“We’re thrilled to have Smokey Robinson and such notable presenters join us,” Kitchin said. “We’re looking forward to a very special evening.”
