As President Trump begins making plans for his post-presidency life, one venture the president seems to likely take is diving into the conservative news media. Rumors of potentially investing in Newsmax continues to circulate in media circles.
However, the reports of Trump’s allies looking to invest in the conservative network, Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy, made one thing clear in an interview with Variety that they wouldn’t turn into Trump TV.
“Newsmax would never become ‘Trump TV’,” Ruddy said. “But we are open — [Trump] is going to be a political and media force after he leaves the White House, and we would be open to talking to him about a weekly show.” After Fox News projection gave Arizona, which was a battleground state, to now President-Elect Joe Biden, Trump has lashed out at the network. Going as far as tweeting that Fox News has forgotten their golden goose and giving his followers alternative conservative news outlets.
