CBS announced the addition of Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth as co-hosts of the Daytime Emmy-winning show The Talk. They replace Marie Osmond, who left the show last season, and Eve who departs this month.
The panel of Kloots and Welteroth will join Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Carrie AnnInaba on January 4.
The changes come on the heels of a major behind-the-scenes shakeup as Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews were named joint executive producers/showrunners. They succeeded long time executive producer/showrunner John Redmann, who left after a decade.
“As we move into the new year, Kristin and I are thrilled to welcome Amanda and Elaine as permanent hosts. They both have amazing energy, interesting points of view and a willingness to share their personal life experiences that complement the voices of our other phenomenal women,” said Gray.
Amanda Kloots late husband, Nick Cordero, died from complications of COVID-19 in July. She documented his struggles on Instagram. Kloots, former Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette, created the global fitness brand AK.
Welteroth is a author of the New York Times bestseller More Than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are No Matter What They Say. She also works on Project Runway as a producer and Judge.
“I am thrilled and honored to join this incredible cast and crew. From the very first time I guest co-hosted on ‘The Talk,’ I knew I was among a very special group of people,” said Kloots. “I look forward to learning from them and lending my perspective to conversations that build bridges in this singular time in our world,” added Welteroth.
