During Wednesday’s airing of “Morning Joe,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough stated that former Vice President Mike Pence is fearful for his life.
Scarborough went on to say that the deadly riots by pro-Trump mobs at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 have caused Pence to maintain a low profile as the former Indiana governor blames Donald Trump for this fear.
“We’re not talking about a debate over the Import-Export Bank. We’re not talking about a debate over the organization of the United States Senate, the procedures behind that,” Scarborough said.
“We’re now talking about a movement and a president that inspired people to come to Capitol Hill to try to kill — their words, not mine — the vice president of the United States and the Speaker of the House.” Also, Scarborough says that Pence wants to remain away from the spotlight because there are people who have the former vice president on their hit list. During the insurrection earlier this month, a group of rioters was captured on video chanting “hang Mike Pence.”
