NFL, iHeartMedia Partner To Create NFL Podcast Network

The NFL announced a deal with iHeartMedia on Monday to make the entertainment giant a partner in the newly created NFL Podcast Network. The deal will see iHeartMedia take over distribution of the league’s seven current podcasts and assist in creating up to two dozen new shows.

The first new shows are expected to debut later this summer. The NFL is giving iHeartMedia access to a variety of content to make sure the shows are unique. NFL Films’ archive will be utilized to create shows focusing on the league’s history. There will also be shows devoted to analysis, interviews, and more.

“Podcasts are an increasingly important way to reach fans and a compelling way to tell NFL stories,” Kevin LaForce, The NFL’s Senior Vice President of Media Strategy and Business Development, said in a press release. “We look forward to partnering with iHeartMedia to bring the NFL Podcast Network to life and deliver our podcast content seamlessly to fans on their platform and anywhere podcasts are consumed.”
