The voice of Leonard Stanislaus “Stan the Man” Lisewsky was well-known to Cleveland sports radio listeners. The Browns superfan was a devoted listener and caller to ESPN Cleveland’s Really Big Show.
He died on Wednesday at age 77. The station will pay tribute to him on Monday.
Some of Stan’s most memorable moments will be replayed during The Really Big Show beginning at 9 AM. Lisewsky was such a reliable and reliably entertaining caller that the station had even produced an intro for him, which played before he was brought on air each time.
On Saturday, Tony Rizzo took to Twitter to declare this upcoming Browns season to be a more memorable one in Lisewsky’s honor.
In addition to being a P1 for ESPN Cleveland and a Browns superfan, Stan the Man also loved golf and was particularly interested in the way courses were built. He is survived by a large family including six children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
