A new baseball show is coming to The Score in Chicago. Down The Line with Cody Decker will debut this Friday. In addition to the latest news about the Cubs and White Sox, the show will also cover all of the gambling storylines in the baseball world.
“Over the last two and half years I have become fond of Cody Decker’s on-air work. First with Radio.com Sports and then as a regular with Bernstein and Rahimi,” Score program director Mitch Rosen said in an email. “Cody and I began to talk about doing a show on a regular basis on the Score a couple months ago and now is the time to finally share the concept.”
Down the Line will be presented by Circa Resort and Casino. The half-hour long show will run 40 times throughout the summer, mostly before the station starts its pregame programming for the Cubs.
Cody Decker spent time in seven different Major League teams’ farm systems during his professional baseball career. His lone Major League season was in 2015, when he was a member of the San Diego Padres. Decker also represented Israel at the World Baseball Classic in 2017. He announced his retirement in 2019.
He was part of the Radio.com sports network alongside his wife, Jenn Sterger. Together they hosted Swings & Mrs. That show ended in October of last year. Since then, Decker has been a regular on 670 the Score, making frequent appearances on Bernstein and Rahimi.
