The Aaron Rodgers interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” continues to be a talking point for various media outlets, and on Monday night, the late-night circuit took their turn making fun of the fallout.
In his opening monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host Jimmy Kimmel spent much of it poking jokes at Rodgers’ interview.
While making light of the situation, Kimmel also stated that the Green Bay Packers quarterback isn’t getting canceled, considering the team only scored seven points in their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kimmel went on to say that Rodgers isn’t in the neighborhood of Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving, who also refuses to get vaccinated. The comedian stated that the Packers quarterback is far worse.
“That’s not fair,” Kimmel said. “Kyrie Irving is wrong, but at least he’s honest. Aaron Rodgers let everyone around him think he was vaccinated when he wasn’t. He’s not Kyrie Irving. He’s Bernie Madoff.”
The late-night host concluded the segment by welcoming “Rodgers’ doctor” Dr. Miles Birchbark, who stated that for “legal purposes,” he isn’t a doctor. Birchbark went into further detail about how he helped treat Rodgers in the comedic skit.
