ESPN Radio has a new affiliate in the San Diego area. The Mightier 1090 announced today that it will begin carrying the network’s programming in addition to its local shows and The Rich Eisen Show. The station will also get a slight tweak to its branding and be known at The Mightier 1090 ESPN Radio.
“We’re thrilled to have The Mightier 1090 ESPN Radio join our affiliate network in a key southern California market and provide fans with our can’t-miss national morning studio show lineup as well as a marquee live event schedule throughout the year,” Scott McCarthy, vice president of ESPN Audio, said in a press release.
The station will carry Keyshawn, JWill and Max from 3 until 7 AM locally. #Greeny will run in morning drive from 7 until 9 am. It will also add ESPN Radio’s live NFL, MLB and NBA broadcasts.
“This is something we’ve been working on for a long time, and it’s incredibly satisfying to finally see it come to fruition just in time for the start of the new year,” Bill Hagen of The Mightier 1090 ESPN Radio added. “This is another very important step in us getting the Padres back home on 1090 as well.”
