We are learning more about the events that led to the firing of former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo.
The New York Attorney General’s office released six hours of video testimony Thursday showing Cuomo discussing his involvement in advising his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, in his defense against sexual harassment allegations.
Chris Cuomo was deposed on July 15, 2021. Cuomo was fired in December over ethical concerns that he used his position at the network to influence the investigations into his brother’s alleged actions.
Cuomo admitted during his testimony that his brother asked him to stay “in the loop.”
“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a Dec. 5 statement.
