Terry Foxx Leaves WFNZ For KUT in Austin

Terry Foxx is going back to Texas and entering the world of public radio. He will exit Radio One in Charlotte, where he served as brand manager of WFNZ and Hot AC station Mix 107.9 and join KUT in Austin.

Foxx will become the NPR station’s Director of Programming and Audience. In addition to the station’s on-air talk programming, he will also oversee KUT and KUTX Studios’ podcast offerings and collaborate with KUTX and the Austin Music Experience on listener engagement strategies.

“Terry has deep knowledge and experience when it comes to identifying and expanding audiences,” Debbie Hiott, KUT and KUTX general manager, said in a press release. “He grew up in Texas, has always had family in Austin, and understands how KUT can serve our community. With those things he will help us develop and provide programming that reaches into new areas important to Central Texas.”
