Newsradio WTAM 1100 welcomed its new host Monday, three months after the untimely passing of Mike Trivisonno. “The Bloomdaddy Show” hosted by David “Bloomdaddy” Bloomquist will broadcast weekdays from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Bloomquist spent 17 years hosting a morning drive on Wheeling, West Virginia’s 1170 WWVA, which iHeartMedia owns both WTAM and WWVA. Furthermore, the radio host stated he’s thrilled to launch his new show on a station that personifies Cleveland in a release.
“I look forward to having impactful conversations with my new radio family and learning even more about this incredible city.”
Bloomquist left a popular morning show in Wheeling that grew into syndication reaching stations in Pittsburgh, Youngstown, Akron, and Parkersburg, West Virginia.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Bloomdaddy to WTAM and the city of Cleveland,” said iHeartMedia Cleveland president Keith Hotchkiss. “His passion for sports, his quest for information, and his commonsense approach to talk radio is the perfect combination for afternoon drive on the legendary WTAM.”
WTAM’s new afternoon show will feature broadcasting veteran Carmen Angelo, news reports from Julie Holiday, and regularly scheduled traffic reports from Olivia Muzica.
Newsradio WTAM 1100 is Cleveland’s only news radio station and an award-winning local news source.
