Mike Greenberg’s wife Stacy probably did him no favors on Super Bowl Sunday. She posted a photo on Twitter of him enjoying Buffalo wings during the Super Bowl. Unlike most people though, Greeny wasn’t using his fingers.
Not surprisingly, Mike Greenberg caught a lot of heat both online and on Get Up on Monday morning. He did have a defender, however.
Greenberg’s colleague Domonique Foxworth admitted that he wanted to make fun of the host at first. Then he noticed that Greeny clearly knows what he is doing.
“I gotta be honest,” Foxworth said. “I wanted to laugh at first, but then those bones was clean. This man is a technician with a fork and knife.”
Any connoisseur of wings will tell you that there is nothing more frustrating than watching someone give up on a bone with plenty of good meat left on it. If Mike Greenberg has found a way to keep his fingers clean AND not miss a speck of meat, he certainly deserves more praise than scorn.
“Here’s a pro tip,” Greenberg told his colleagues. “Use two forks. That’s how you can work it down a little more is a second fork.”
