The countdown is on for the 2022 BSM Summit. In eight days we’ll enter the Anne Bernstein Theater with an action packed schedule of speakers and sessions, determined to strengthen the industry’s knowledge of opportunities and information. But before the flurry of stage presentations begin, we’ll gather for ninety minutes to enjoy a few beverages, reconnect with familiar faces, and make introductions to those we haven’t yet crossed paths with.
I am thrilled to have OutKick and OutKick 360 on board as our exclusive sponsor of OutKick’s BSM Summit Kickoff Party. The kickoff party will take place Tuesday night March 1st from 7:00pm-8:30pm at Hurley’s Saloon, 232 W. 48th Street. The bar is one block away from Hotel Edison, our hotel partner for this year’s Summit. The heated rooftop area at Hurley’s will be all ours, and free drinks will be provided courtesy of our friends at OutKick.
In addition, Jonathan Hutton and Chad Withrow of OutKick 360 will be on hand to welcome everyone to town. I’ve known these talented Nashville based hosts dating back to their time on the local airwaves of 104.5 The Zone. Having since moved into radio syndication, in addition to expanding their brand in the digital space, I’m sure those on hand will enjoy getting to know both of them. And if free drinks and face to face conversations aren’t enough, we’ll have a few giveaways and surprises too. Anyone attending or speaking at the Summit, is welcome to drop by OutKick’s BSM Summit Kickoff Party on Tuesday night.
Our next order of business involves our recent contest for college students to earn tickets to the Summit. As the host of this event, and someone who loves the business and wants to see it thrive forever, I think it’s vital to give back. It’s amazing what a day at the Summit can do for a young person who’s considering a future in this field. Not only is the knowledge and access gained invaluable, but the introductions made at the show can go a long way towards future opportunities. Case in point, two years ago, one of our winners was Derek Futterman. His experience at our 2020 show led to contacting me afterwards. He now writes for BSM, and has gained a ton of experience writing about the business, and connecting with talented folks across the industry. I only wish something like this existed when I was getting started.
Which brings me to the announcement of our winners. I said I’d giveaway five tickets to the conference, but there were six submissions that stood out, so I’m being extra generous. Congratulations to Ben Fadden of St. John’s University, Zach Cohen of the University of Florida, and the Hofstra Four: Griffin Schmoyer, Jacob April, Yaw Bonsu, and Will Wiegelman. All six have earned tickets to enjoy the 2022 BSM Summit. My Sales Director Stephanie Eads will touch base soon to finalize ticket details.
If you missed my post yesterday, we’ve posted the full schedule of sessions on BSMSummit.com. Scroll down past the speakers to see everything we have planned. Both days run 9a-5p, and it promises to fun a productive two-day affair.
A reminder, tickets to attend the show in person are on-sale until Friday night. After that time, the only way to enjoy the show will be courtesy of a Virtual ticket. For those unable to travel, virtual viewing is a great option. We thanks NuVoodoo Media Services for making it possible.
That’s the latest involving next week’s show. Only a few loose ends to tie up, and then we’re all set for next week. Hope to see you there!
