Josh Ward and Jayson Swain are officially part of the mid-day lineup at 99.1 The Sports Animal in Knoxville. The duo will be on every weekday from noon until 3 pm locally.
Swain is new to The Sports Animal, but he is a staple of Tennessee sports. He played wide receiver for the Vols from 2003-2006. He then signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears. He had been hosting The Swain Event on multiple smaller stations in Knoxville. In March, it was announced that he was headed to The Sports Animal.
The new midday show is called Josh & Swain. It replaces Sports 180, which Josh Ward hosted with Heather Harrington.
Harrington is still with Cumulus in Knoxville. The former Vol volleyball standout has moved down the hall to country station WIVK. She is heard every weekday on that station from 10 am until 1 pm.
Finally, finally, finally Heather Harrington is off WNML!!!! I stopped listening to The BEST DUO in Sports radio, Josh and Will, when Will was replaced with Harrington! I listened to The Animal since 2006. The morning show was great because until the Great Jeff left us it was him and Mickey doing most talking. Harrington, is mouthy and mic hog! Plus she cuts off her co hosts alot, butts in and just an all around not a good person for sports talk radio. I now have my 2 favorite shows back to back, Erik Ainge and Josh and Swain!!
