Journalist and CNN contributor Lynn Sweet criticized White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who appeared on Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America” to discuss a variety of issues including her working relationship with Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy whom she has clashed with several times.
Appearing on Sunday’s “Reliable Sources” with Brian Stelter, Sweet accused Psaki of forgetting what her “real job is.”
“She was forgetting what her real job is, which is to communicate on behalf of the president. Okay? She even repeated some of the swear words that the questioner asked in the question, upping the ante.”
During the exchange, which you can hear right here, Psaki addressed her interactions Fox News’ Peter Doocy while responding to the question about whether Doocy was a “stupid son of a b***ch or if he just played one on TV.”
“He works for a network that provides people with questions that, nothing personal to any individual, including Peter Doocy, but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a b****h” she said.
Sweet said it didn’t help that Psaki was making the comments to her former colleague Dan Pfieffer who worked as an advisor to President Barack Obama.
“This podcast is made by her friends. They go back to the Kerry campaign, they worked in the Obama White House,” Sweet said.
