Kay Adams will leave Good Morning Football on the NFL Network. She reportedly may have a soft landing spot at Amazon. Andrew Marchand reports that she is one of the leading candidates to anchor studio coverage of Thursday Night Football.
Amazon reportedly will have its studio show travel each week ahead of the Thursday game. No deal between the streaming giant and Adams is done yet.
“Kay has been a big part of the success of Good Morning Football and we hope to keep her in the NFL Media family for years to come,” Alex Riethmiller, the vice president of communications for NFL Media, said in a statement to The New York Post.
Amazon did not comment for Marchand’s story.
So what now for Good Morning Football? Peter Schraeger and Kyle Brandt are still part of the show. Marchand says former Lock It In host Rachel Bonnetta is a leading candidate to replace Adams.
The contract between NFL Network and Kay Adams does not expire until next month. Earlier this month, it was reported that in addition to NFL Network and Amazon, FanDuel was making a play for her services.
