Internationally acclaimed broadcaster Piers Morgan drew 300,000 viewers to the debut of his new show which aired on Monday night in the UK.
According to Deadline, the “Uncensored” host received a boost from his interview with former President Donald Trump. The clips, which were leaked in the media, show an outraged Trump reacting to questions over election integrity and the current performance of President Joe Biden.
As the interview wore on, Morgan pressed Trump over his claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
“Only a fool would think that,” Trump fired back at Morgan. Then the host asked, “you think I’m a fool?” As a result, the former president declared, “I do now, yeah.”
In September, Piers Morgan signed a global deal with Fox News Corp. to host a show that would be syndicated in the UK, U.S., and Australia. The ratings don’t include viewers who tuned in to the U.S. and Australia simulcast via Fox Nation and Sky News Australia.
Morgan, 56, left “Good Morning Britain” earlier this year after slamming Meghan Markle for the damage that she had done to the British monarchy at such a vulnerable point while Prince Phillip lay dying in the hospital.
