Daniel Jeremiah Criticizes Joel Klatt’s Draft Background On Pat McAfee Show

Pat McAfee always makes the most of his multi-platform show. It can be heard on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio and watched on YouTube. The YouTube audience has received a special treat this week as McAfee and his crew have been interviewing media members from their hotels in Las Vegas, where the NFL Draft takes place starting Thursday night.

On Thursday afternoon, Daniel Jeremiah joined the show. The NFL Network draft analyst showed off the view from his hotel room, which overlooked pools at multiple resorts.

McAfee said that Jeremiah could be in the top 3 of Vegas backgrounds this week. He said that Joel Klatt, who is usually on FOX, but will be part of the NFL Network’s draft coverage, is in the running as well.

“Joel doing it outside the Caesars pool, that was, I mean that was a little gaudy,” Jeremiah responded. “That was a little much.”

He told Pat McAfee and AJ Hawk that the NFL Network draft crew was just wrapping up media availability at the pool when it was time for Klatt to call into the show. Jeremiah also added that the ability to do interviews poolside is very different from when he began his career.

The NFL Draft was held in New York every year from 1965 to 2014. The last nine of those years it was at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan.

The Draft began to travel the following season and cities have done their best to create unique atmospheres for the event. None may be as unique as what Las Vegas will have this year as the first round will take place in a combination of areas that includes the Caesars Forum and the fountains at the Bellagio.
