Golden State Warriors TV play-by-play man Bob Fitzgerald will be on the radio call for the team’s Game Six matchup with the Boston Celtics.
Fitzgerald is filling in for Tim Roye who is sick. This will be the second consecutive game Fitzgerald has filled the role of radio voice of the Warriors on 95.7 The Game in the Bay Area.
“Unfortunately, Tim is a little under the weather,” Fitzgerald said on 95.7 The Game’s Steiny & Guru. “So, Strength in Numbers, baby! They just grabbed an available broadcaster. So I’ll be sitting there, reunited with Jim Barnett actually for Game 6 on the radio. It’s kinda fun.”
Fitzgerald will be joined by former longtime TV partner Jim Barnett. The two were partners on the television side until Barnett stepped away after the 2018-2019 season. Kelenna Azubuike took over as full-time color commentator for NBC Sports Bay Area before the 2019-20 season.
