Kenny Mayne has stayed busy since exiting ESPN last year. He has worked for NBC and Caesars. Now, add Audacy’s 2400Sports to the list.
The former SportsCenter anchor will host a new show called Hey Mayne. It will be an interview show with a unique and diverse guest list.
“It’s very experimental what we’re trying to pull off here,” Mayne said in a press release. “I will speak into a microphone, as will my guest, and someone will record what we say. Then the whole thing will be presented in a form we’ll call ‘a podcast.’ I’ll be more serious than this dutiful press release quote would suggest. At times. The show will debut on June 23. New episodes of Hey Mayne will drop weekly.
Jemele Hill, Jamal Crawford, Chris Berman, director Christopher Guest and actor Ben Schwartz have already recorded episodes of the show.
