Jake Heaps is moving on. The former Seahawks and Jets quarterback announced earlier this week that he is leaving Seattle Sports 710 to be a full-time quarterback coach for Russell Wilson.

That creates an opening on the midday show and the station wasted no time filling it. Michael Bumpus will join Stacy Jo Rost every weekday from 10 am until 2 pm. The new show is called Bump & Stacy. It debuts on June 20.

“We’re thrilled Michael Bumpus will be stepping in to join Stacy Rost as a full-time host from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each weekday,” Kyle Brown, Program Director for Seattle Sports, said in a press release. “Bump has spent years preparing for this opportunity and I have no doubt he’s ready for this moment. Bump and Stacy will bring four hours of unending fun to Seattle Sports listeners daily.”

Michael Bumpus played his college football at Washington State before spending one season in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. He also played in the CFL and the now-defunct AF2.

He first joined Seattle Sports 710 in 2018 and has been a reliable part of the station’s coverage of Seattle Seahawks games. He also covers college football for the Pac-12 Network.
