iHeartMedia Denver has reportedly laid off some of its longtime top-level management team at news/talk stations KOA and KHOW.
According to All Access, KOA’s Senior Vice President of Talk Programing Greg Foster, and KHOW Program Director Tim Spence were among those laid off Tuesday in a series of nationwide cuts that have been ongoing. Spence also served as the APD at KOA.
Foster spent 22 years with the company. Six years ago, he was promoted to VP/News, Talk and Sports for the Denver cluster. Foster also spent time in Albany, New York programming WGY-AM and sports station WOFX-AM.
Tim Spence served as Assistant Program Director at KOA and ran the day-to-day operations at “Denver’s Talk Station” KHOW. He also served as affiliate relations for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies.
Robbyn Hart, KOA Public Affairs Director, was also reportedly part of the cuts made by the company.
