Mark Packer and Wes Durham, the duo that form Packer and Durham, will do their final show this Friday, July 1 the pair announced. No reason was given for the show’s end. Instead, Durham reassured fans that both he and Packer would continue with the network in other capacities.
Packer and Durham, which started on SiriusXM in March of 2018 has been a regular piece of the ACC Network’s daily lineup since it launched in August of 2019.
“It has been a great deal of fun,” said Packer during Wednesday’s episode. “It has just been a joyride for the last three years.”
“Our program has really been special,” said Durham. “It has been incredible to be a part, and I’d say a big part of the ACC Network from its inception.”
Durham did give a brief glimpse into what will be his future when he added, “One of the things I will be doing is expanding my play-by-play calendar which is a passion I have for football and basketball,” Durham added.
Durham went on to thank Mark for helping make the partnership and show even exist.
“Mark, on a personal note, I cannot thank you enough for calling me in the Fall of 2017 and telling me that SiriusXM was going to start a conference channel. You had told them you wanted me to join you on that and in March of 2018. And literally the week of the ACC Tournament and the week my dad passed away, you and I started doing radio together.”
Packer told everyone to stay tuned that news will be coming.
“We are looking forward to the future and I think folks will be excited about what will be eventually announced with the ACC Network with content and shows and everything else.”
