FOX News’ Congressional correspondent Chad Pergram offered his unique insight into Wednesday’s most recent Jan. 6 Committee hearings.
According to Fox News, Pergram, barricaded in the basement, provided critical minute-by-minute updates on the situation for fifteen hours straight on the air until the building was secured.
Pergram said the committee focused on a specific verbal profane incident at the White House on Dec. 18, 2020. He stated the spat occurred between the White House and those pushing election “conspiracy theories.”
“The committee said the fight prompted the president to tweet in the wee hours of Dec. 19,” Pergram added.
According to the committee, the longtime Washington correspondent said that tweet encouraged people to descend upon Washington on Jan. 6.
“The electoral college was set, and he started to have other people whispering in his ear, Sidney Powell and others, that there was a way around this,” Pergram added. “Maybe get to Mike Pence, so on and so forth. She said, ‘Look, he’s a grown man, he’s 76 years old, and he is responsible for his actions.’”
In January, Pergram wrote a column for the network and stated that he plans to give a tour of what he saw in the future.
