Brandon Walker has been suspiciously absent on Barstool Yak recently, but he joined the show yesterday to reveal the reason.
“My lease ended June 30th and my new one started August 1st,” Walker said from Starkville, Mississippi. “I was paying $6250 for a nice house in Jersey, they called me yesterday…and said ‘the deal is off’. And I said ‘why?’ and they said ’cause the landlord passed away’. He was in Aruba…”
“How crazy is this?!” PFT Commenter interrupted.
“He was in Aruba and a wave got him and took him to sea. And so now I don’t have a house, so now I’m debating…I’m talking to people about houses in Jersey this morning. I don’t know what I’m gonna do now. I’ll be back by August 1st. I’ll probably be back by myself and living in a hotel for a while.”
“Are you screening new landlords? Maybe a swim test?” Big Cat asked.
“See if they’re alive?” Walker wondered. “He leaves behind a wife and I believe some kids.”
“That’s awful,” Big Cat admitted. “That’s tragic.”
Walker has appeared as a guest on other Barstool shows during his time away from the office.
