After video footage emerged of Sen. Josh Hawley running away from the Jan. 6 rioters, the clip went viral, and the panel on “The View” decided to join in on poking fun at the politician’s expense.
The videos surfaced as part of Thursday night’s Jan. 6 committee hearing; Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA) detailed that Hawley also escaped the Capitol that day, shortly after he lifted a fist to hail the crowd on his way into work that morning.
Guest co-host Ana Navarro was one of the more vocal criticizing Hawley for the hypocrisy of saluting the crowd he would be running away from on Jan. 6.
“What an invertebrate that man is,” Navarro said, per TheWrap. “We all saw him, remember, when he has his fist up. I think at that point he must’ve thought he was hailing a cab. And then we see him running like the shrimp, wimp, coward, accomplice, hypocrite he is.”
“And then after he’s running like Forrest Gump — run Joshua, run! Run! — after we see him running, then he’s got the gall to go out and sell merchandise and fundraise over the fist bump! Chica, please!”
The Hawley clip is the latest information to come out of the Jan. 6 hearings on Thursday.
