One of the late-night show figures is Samantha Bee, but she will be going off the air as Deadline reports that “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” is over at TBS.
The program is canceled after seven seasons, and it’s the latest prominent cancelation at the Warner Bros. Discovery network following the merger. Bee’s exit from TBS follows that of Brett Weitz, general manager of TNT, TBS, and truTV, who was a big supporter of the comedian and her show.
“As we continue to shape our new programming strategy, we’ve made some difficult, business-based decisions. “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee” will not return to TBS,” a spokesperson stated.
“We are proud to have been the home to Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and thank Sam and the rest of the Emmy-nominated team for their groundbreaking work. We celebrate this extraordinarily talented cast and crew and look forward to exploring new opportunities to work with them in the future.”
The show premiered on February 8, 2016, and Bee, a former “Daily Show” correspondent, recently celebrated her 200th episode of the show. Furthermore, the cancellation of Bee’s show comes a year after Conan O’Brien left the network’s late-night scene.
“Full Frontal” covered a range of subjects from inside the Beltway to sexual harassment with regular international stories.
