Megan Pratz Joins NPR As Political Editor

After a nearly four-year stay at Cheddar News, Megan Pratz will join NPR as their new Political Editor, according to a release from the organization.

Pratz, a former producer for PBS and Al Jazeera American among others, enters the role most recently held by Voting Editor Benjamin Swasey.

“Megan will take the lead on our coverage of voters and elections, working with our political reporters as they travel the country digging into what’s driving Americans’ political behavior, as well as reporting on candidates and campaigns,” Krishnadev Calamur, NPR’s Chief Washington Editor said. “Megan will also work with member station political reporters who are covering congressional and presidential politics in their own backyards.

Her first day in the role will be Monday, August 22nd.

Calamur also announced longtime correspondent Sue Davis has a new title as NPR Political Correspondent, while Deirdre Walsh is now officially a Congressional Correspondent for the network, after working as in an “acting” role for several months.
