Audacy has announced Alex Silverman as the new Director of News and Programming for KNX News in Los Angeles.

I can’t wait to work with the amazing team to build the future of the brand and set the agenda for news coverage in Southern California,” said Silverman in a statement. “Thank you to Jeff Federman, Chris Ebbott, Jeff Sottolano, and Bill Smee for their confidence in me and commitment to impactful local journalism.”
Silverman joins KNX after a successful stint as the Brand Manager of KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia, a position he’s held since 2018. He also served as the Assistant Director of News and Programming at WCBS 880 in New York, where he won an Edward R. Murrow Award for his coverage of the transportation crisis.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Silverman will begin his duties at KNX on Monday, September 19th.
