810 WHB celebrated 100 years of on-air excellence at an event Thursday night.
The longtime top 40 station switched to sports in 1999, and held a banquet at The Midland Theatre in downtown Kansas City to celebrate the milestone brought former Chiefs and Royals players, as well as current and former Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats to the city.

“We had a chance to be exposed by them in many ways. We had a great season, and we’re all very proud of it and very proud to be here,” said Kansas Head Basketball Coach Bill Self to KCTV.
100% of the proceeds from the event were given to Kansas City charities. The station also honored host Nate Bukaty for his numerous charitable works in the city since joining the station in 2004.
