During his Monday evening podcast, Bill O’Reilly had harsh criticism for Meet The Press host Chuck Todd for his performance during a recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Todd sat down with the Vice President for a wide-ranging discussion, but O’Reilly couldn’t look past Todd’s inability to press Harris on what he called “lies” in regards to the security of the southern border.
“Chuck Todd sits there and allows a sitting Vice President to lie right to him,” O’Reilly said. “‘Oh, we have a secure border’. There isn’t one border patrol agent from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California who will tell you the border is secure. Not one. It’s not secure.”
The Meet The Press host has faced rumors over the past month that NBC is considering replacing him as host of the Sunday morning program.
O’Reilly called his perceived ability of Kamala Harris to lie to the press “shocking” before continuing his shots at Todd.
“Even more shocking is NBC News hiring a man to sit there on Meet The Press and she lies right to him, and he let’s it go. No follow up, no nothing. Tim Russert — a good friend of mine who used to do Meet The Press if you remember — I know Tim’s in heaven going ‘What the deuce? What the deuce?'”
O’Reilly concluded his statements by saying the press in America is intentionally deceiving and has “totally abdicated” its duty and responsibility to inform the public.
