Podcaster and Daily Wire commentator Candace Owens is speaking out against the silencing of critics on social media. During her “Candace” podcast Friday, Owens talked about former kickboxer Andrew Tate.
Tate has come under fire for saying that men should get 80% of what their women make on OnlyFans. The London-based platform primarily caters to sex workers who produce pornography.
“No, I don’t agree with that. But I would host him, and I would debate him on that,” she said. “I’m not offended by him even saying it. I think it’s stupid, and I would debate him any day of the week on that because I think it’s just, it’s not even productive to society. But why is he getting banned for this?”
Big Tech has banned Tate from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for allegedly violating the platform’s policies on “dangerous organizations and individuals.”
Owens argued that some individuals use their social media platforms to promote gender assignment surgery for young children, but Big Tech never takes steps to censor them.
“What’s worse: these celebrities that are advocating for the harm of our children through all of these various means, or a guy that’s a part of a ‘manosphere’ that’s clearly playing a part?” Owens added.
