98.5 the Sports Hub’s Fred Toucher is back in the hospital treating a foot ailment that has plagued the host for weeks.
Toucher’s foot pain got so severe that on Monday it caused him to leave the Toucher and Rich show before the first segment was over. On Tuesday he returned for the full show, describing how painful the issue still was. He also mentioned that he was told if the anitbiotics he was prescribed did not alleviate his pain, he should return to the hospital. On Wednesday’s Toucher and Rich, co-host Rich Shertenlieb delivered the news that Toucher has returned to the hospital.
“First of all, it’s unfortunate,” Shertenlieb began. “Fred’s foot, I know he told you all if he wasn’t feeling better by tomorrow night he was going to go to the hospital. It was not feeling better so I think this is going to be a situation where he’s going to go in and say ‘let me leave once it’s fixed. Just take care of this. Let’s get it done.’ He’s knocking it out so that’s good. Good for him he’s getting taken care of.”
Toucher posted on his Instagram a photo of the affected foot from a hospital bed on Tuesday evening.
There is no timetable for his return.
